Think before you leap

A few days ago I left blogger and switched over to Wordpress, not the smartest thing I’ve done because I found it very hard compared to blogger. Don’t get me wrong Wordpress is great but if you are technically challenged like me, it’s hard!!! So unless you have a blog desiger or have hours and hours to waste not to mention want to cry and pull your hair out, think before you do it. I hope all is working well now.

On another note, I’ve got a few great giveaways lineup in the next few days, so stay tuned.

  1. I had been tempted for some time now to move to wordpress because blogger was being a pain...but, I was too scared I would not know the ins and outs of it!!!! I will stay with blogger for now. ;)

    have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Thank you for sharing! I've thought about making the switch, but I am definitely not very tech savy. I better stay put for now!

  3. I have used wordpress before and it is a challenge if you're not tech savvy. I had stayed up to 5 am daily teaching myself the ins and outs and even made it far enough to design my own theme from scratch! I hope you figure it out. Google is your best friend for solutions.

  4. I'm in it with you! I still use blogger, and sometimes blogging on Word Press and Blogger...The same Stuff! Call me crazy, it is hard, but it will be worth it when we "get it"

  5. sorry,
    spelling counts

  6. So do tell what attracted you to WordPress.
Kristy @ 4 the love of WOOD

  7. I don't need the headache, LOL, I'll stay with blogger. Do you have to pay with wordpress?

I just thought I would let you know that I had a difficult time reading your post (the font). It could be just me but just thought I'd let you know in case I'm not the only one :)

  8. I have only used Wordpress since I started my blog. I'm not computer savvy either but actually didn't find it terribly difficult to learn. I'm very happy with how my blog posts look on my website but if someone signs up to view it via email, it looks different there. You can get an idea of what I mean by going to my website, viewing the blog, and then signing up to see how it looks different in your email.

  9. I am with Marsha and most likely others that your font is very tiny and hard to read. Good luck with your conversion. I'm sure you'll get the kinks worked out soon!

  10. I was thinking about it. Now I will stay put. I will say that it is very hard to read your font on my MAC. Not sure if it is my computer or your new blog -but I thought I should mention it. The Font is very small and squished together. Good luck with the change!

  11. Your choice of font is very hard to read, as the others have said :)

  12. I will stick to blogger! And your font is hard to read for sure!! You might want to change that!
    Hugging you

  13. There always seems to be a battle between Blogger and Wordpress. I think it depends on where you start first.

I've seen people move because they are promised increased traffic and ease of use and then have a headache for months until they truly get wordpress.

I've heard people say you aren't a "real" blogger unless you are on wordpress and own your content, as with blogger you don't own what your post.

I say go with what you know and what isn't a headache!

  14. I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement. Keep sharing more information with us.
