Road Trip to Apalachicola
If you love oysters, this is the place, home of the best oysters in the county.
Apalachicola is on the gulf of Mexico and about 2 hours from our house. On the way there we stopped off in a tiny town called Blountstown, my boyfriend's friend is a blacksmith and they were having a knife expo at the cutest little place, it's called Blountstown Pioneer Settlement.
It's really a step back in time with all the old buildings and you can only imagine the way life used to be.
While no one actual lives there, many events are held here.

I could see myself living in this house, cute, cute, cute!

What a neat old covered wagon, I bet the ride was bumpy back in the day.
I can just imagine sitting here on a summer day drinking an ice cold glass of tea.

This house was my favorite, while it was small, it was just so darn cute.

After our adventure at the settlement, we moved onto a nice lunch on the coast.
This was the view from our table, it was rather cloudy that day but still nice and the food was yummy.
After our wonderful lunch we headed towards Apalachicola for some shopping. It's just fun to walk around and visit all the shops in this quaint little town.
On the day we were there they were having a antique car show.
Two turquoise cars in one place, imagine that.

It was a wonderful fun day :)

What wonderful places and such wonderful photos of them!! So unique! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a terrific day!
