Knob Turned Finial
Once I was done transforming my lamp I realized it needed a funky finial to match it's new personality. I found this beautiful glass knob at Anthropologie a few weeks ago and I thought it was the perfect crowning touch.
All I had to do was remove the screw and epoxy the pieces onto the original plain finial that came with the lamp. I added a small glass bead on top where the screw head would normally be, and since it's made of glass it glows when the light is turned on.

Love your lamp transformation...so happy to find your blog as I love meeting new junking friends.

Beautiful idea! You are a real treasure!
ReplyDeleteI loved the lamp post (Ha ha) and I love your finial. I recently ordered knobs for an old cabinet from Anthropologie and I love them. You can catch a lot of sales there online.

ReplyDeleteWhat a prefect idea! I'm trying this. I have so many lamps, all with ugly finials. Our Hobby Lobby sells these pretty knobs too. Usually $2.99 - $7.99. I love buying them.
