Pillows, Pillows, Pillows
Oh how I love pillows, the more the merrier.
I thought I would share a glimpse of the fabrics that I will be making the pillows, dust ruffle and curtains out of.

I found 2 yards of this fabulous vintage fabric at my grandmas house this weekend, it was just enough to make some great pillows. I used the wrong side of the fabric because it was actually prettier, less shinny and more colorful. Because of the way it was woven you can't tell it's the wrong side. I love when that happens.
I find myself doing that a lot too -- using the "wrong" side of fabrics. Usually it's just more textury and casual. Very cool fabric combinations! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you like it...that's all that matters! Hope you have fun with your upcoming projects!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Those would go perfectly with my new bedroom! Gorgeousness....
ReplyDeletePretty fabrics and colors...does your grandma have any other beauties stashed away at her house?

I love going through older peoples linen closets. They truely have some great stuff an they took such great care of them. (At least that's been my experience)
ReplyDeleteI too, like the look of the wrong side of fabric sometimes. It's just different and you know that no one else will do that!
I can't wait to see your finished products.
That's going to look beautiful all together, Trixie! I love the colors. I keep the fabric sample swatches that I order for clients and have some where you could use the wrong side of the fabric. You're right ~ sometimes the wrong side looks better!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics & colors - these will be absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to see your finished products!!
ReplyDeleteGreat selection of fabrics. I love the color choices and textures. Can't wait to see what you do with them. All the best, Lori
ReplyDeleteI LOOVE those fabrics! The blue and brown damask-ish one is to die for. I'm all about pillow too, especially because I am an amateur seamstress and all that's is required is to sew a straight line, which half the time I can't even do that:) Can't wait to see how they turn out!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your blog and your style...so pretty! Awesome ideas!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are lovely! And I enjoyed watching your slide show on the side bar. You have excellent taste and a very consistent style.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and texture. Don't ya just love it when stumbling upon treasures like this? I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm still treating my hives over waiting for Miss Trixie's Room Reveal! Blessings, peace and sunshine to all, Terri
