I wanted a dark grey distressed dresser so I searched craigslist

I added a little plaster of paris to my leftover grey dining room wall paint to add thickness and texture.
Once the base coat was dry, I dry brushed a darker grey all over and scraped the edges to distress.
I found these great ceramic and metal pulls at Hobby Lobby on sale for 2.00 each.

I love how it turned out, and for less than $65.00 bucks that makes me happy.

ReplyDeleteYou took that boring dresser to a whole new level! Looks like something out of the Restoration Hardware catalog. Great choice in color and pulls, that really transformed the piece.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely. What do you do to clean it for potential bedbugs?
ReplyDeleteDo you use a flat, eggshell or satin paint for the plaster of paris mixture?
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. I added you to my blogroll.

It looks perfect! Love it and love that you got it for such a great deal. I really need to hunt for furniture on Craigslist and places like that. I actually forget about it.
