Craigslist Dresser Redo

I’m really loving neutral and grey tones right now and since
I’m changing the d├ęcor in our house I need to change out the furniture too.
I wanted a dark grey distressed dresser so I searched craigslist
and found this one for only $40.00, it was real wood and in good shape.

I added a little plaster of paris to my leftover grey dining room wall paint to add thickness and texture.
Once the base coat was dry, I dry brushed a darker grey all over and scraped the edges to distress.

I found these great ceramic and metal pulls at Hobby Lobby on sale for 2.00 each.

I love how it turned out, and for less than $65.00 bucks that makes me happy.

Not far from home is one of my favorite stores in Thomasville, Georgia.
RELICS is a mixture of industrial, architectural salvage and repurposed finds.
I could walk through a million times and still not see everything, it’s jam backed full of goodies.

One of everything, please

Christmas Ideas Magazine Shoot

Back in October I was contacted by Christmas Ideas Magazine for an upcoming shoot for the 2013 edition. Just days before I had repainted my dining and living room getting ready to redecorate for a new look so  I really wasn’t planning on decorating all out for Christmas, but gosh who could say no to another photo shoot.

Last week was the shoot, I was happy that Lynn Nesmith and Jean Allsopp were here again,
they’re the talented stylist and photographer that did the Cottage Style Magazine Shoot.  It was so much fun once again and I can’t wait to see it.
