Bedroom Chandeliers

Hello, everyone! It's Mari here from Arcadian Lighting, the online place for light fixtures and lighting trends. I'm delighted to be visiting with you at Flea Market Trixie to take a look at chandeliers in the bedroom. Whether they're wonderful vintage flea market finds or new and right out of the box, chandeliers are such lovely additions to the bedroom.

A chandelier casts an appealing glow and creates a slightly glamorous atmosphere.
Thanks for letting me share some of my favorite bedrooms with chandeliers.

A simply stunning intricately detailed crystal chandelier seems to cast a romantic spell over this pretty bedroom. Pastel painted chests look lovely with this ornately carved bed.

Not all bedroom chandeliers are dripping with crystals. This one is created from metal shaped into leaves and flowers. It's perfectly suited to a vintage bedroom filled with floral pattern on the walls and floor.

Hanging from the rafters, a crystal-laden chandelier lights up this attic retreat. Floral bed linens and pillows add cottage charm to a decidedly feminine space. The matching ornate wall sconces add even more glamour.

An appealing contrast is created between rustic and glam in this eclectic bedroom--rustic wood headboard and glamorous chandelier.

A tiny chandelier is a sweet addition above the tufted loveseat in this beautiful bedroom. Is that daisies I see among the crystals? What a lovely color palette the designer used here.

Hung between antique canopied twin beds, this simple wood and iron chandelier has been glammed up a bit with glass drops and beads. I love the long ruffled skirts on the white bedspreads and the pretty wreath decorations.

Another gorgeous crystal chandelier lights up a girly vintage space. This bedroom is filled with great vintage decorating ideas. The antique armoire with its mirrored doors such a lovely choice?

When it comes to bedroom lighting fixtures, if one is pretty, then two will be gorgeous. We think that's definitely true of the unusual twin chandeliers in this beautiful bedroom for two.

Painted Floor Cloth

I love our screened porch but it needed a pop of color and I could never find an outdoor rug that I liked so I thought I would try making one.
Have you ever heard of painting a floor cloth using the backside of vinyl flooring? It’s so much easier than the old method of using canvas, because there's no hemming required.

I purchased a 10x12 piece from my local home improvement store and trimmed it to  the size I needed using regular scissors.
The first thing I did was prime it with several coats of water based primer

I also used left over house paint and acrylic craft paint that I already had. I knew I wanted a random stripe because I didn’t want to worry too much about measuring the stripes, I just made it up as I went.
I used Frog tape for the taping the stripes, it works really well for this type of project because it doesn’t allow the paint to bleed through.
Once all the paint was dry, I just coated the entire thing with 3 coats of fast drying water based floor poly.
