Union Jack Fabric

I love the Union Jack, but the true colors of the red and blue flag don't exactly match my house. So why not a turquoise or green union jack!

I reupholstered the vintage stool with my new turquoise UNION JACK fabric from my new fabric collection. I love how it matches my house, so I get the great graphic of the UNION JACK and the colors I love.

Furniture+Decoupage+Maps

Don't you just love decorating with maps? I found a in need of serious love buffet/sideboard at a garage sale, the veneer was all messed up but that didn't matter to me and especially not for the cheap price tag.

I removed all the veneer to expose the solid wood underneath, most of it just popped off, but I had to work on the top a little.

I painted it using my old paint finish technique and matched one of the blues that was in the map I was using on the front drawers.

I even lined the drawers with the index pages from the back of the atlas.

Next time you see a piece that's in need of love, think decoupage!
