Shopping Trip

Well I must say it was fun and I bought a few good things, but one thing in my book that doesn't go together is extreme heat and outdoor shopping.
It was Hot, Hot, Hot and I live in Florida so I'm used to hot weather but nothing like the heat wave they were having.

We started here at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden Alabama.

P1030939My favorite sales were at peoples houses.

P1030940
Check out the view from their backyard.

P1030941I'm a little afraid of heights so I didn't get too close to the edge on this one.

P1030942
This house was next door to a sale we went to, it was gorgeous.
P1030943  The scenery was wonderful.

P1030945We passed this and I just had to take a picture.
I'm still stumped on the message they were trying to make on this church sign.

We traveled a total of 1300 miles and saw many beautiful things, our last stop was in Jamestown Tennessee, the town where the 127 sale all started.

Here are a few of the things I found. It was a lot of fun and we met some really nice people along the way.

  1. I went on the World's Longest Yard Sale and had a blast. Bought lots of fun goodies. I see you did also. We started in Kentucky and ended in Gadsden, Al.

  2. Fun! I had never heard of this before. It would be great to go. So thoughts on that sign... its probably referring to the crucifixion (nails through the hands and feet). Just a guess :)

  5. Looks like a wonderful time!
That church sign catches the eye and is true. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities...with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53

  12. Oh what fun it looks like you had! The scenery is beautiful. And...for you...living in Florida the views must have been amazing! I have never gone to one of those sales but one of my hubby's co-workers went with her sisters and they had a ball. They came back with every spare space in their truck packed! I love the road sign...not the church one-the one you nabbed...lol Glad you had fun! Trose

  16. Church sign, Jesus' hands and feet were pierced with nails, his dieing on the cross saves us.

  24. Jesus was crucified with nails through his body so I'm thinking that was the reference to body piercing. That's a good one.

  29. Oh, for views like that! I am also in FLA...no valley vistas, sadly. But we do have the best beaches in the world, so that is a BIG consolation! Having fun reading your posts...glad I found you :-)
